RE: Has anyone put skid rollers on their MH

I've seen quite a few posts on this subject. Some people have gone that route and love them. Others say they won't dare put that much weight on the rear of the rig on purpose. I thought about doing it as I can't get into my driveway without bottoming out but I decided against it.

RE: HWH Leveling jacks

Any fluid on the ground? If not, your control valve is leaking internally and allowing fluid to flow back into the reservoir. Your jack retracting by itself is the result. I had the same exact problem and swapped out the control valve assembly and all is well now.

RE: 32 inch Sylvania LCD $440 at Kmart

That COSCO Deal looks good. You buy 2 and give me one for Christmas:) Happy Camping!:B
46" is probably too big to use in an RV but maybe someone can take advantage of the deal for home or something.

Since we're on the topic of good deals...
Costco Sharp AQUOS 46" 1080p LCD LC-46D64U 2 pack bundle
I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger on this offer.

RE: Pull the boat?? Nah....just drive it!!

IIRC from the Travel Channel program the floats are inflatable; are carried in the "basement"; and are inflated and deployed from the driver's seat. Again IIRC from stopping at the shoreline to cruising off on the water took about 5 minutes for the floats to deploy and anything else they did to get it "sea worthy".Yes, and in the video the owner stated that in the production model the floats will be full automated. However, in some of the pictures on the site it shows the rig int he water without the floats deployed. :?

RE: Onan generator

Changing the spark plugs is very easy if you buy the right plugs. The first time I changed the plugs I didn't buy the "Onan" plugs but rather the equivalent from an auto parts store of what was already in there. Well, the previous owner had installed 13/16 plugs. The 13/16 plugs are a very tight fit and I ended up taking off the top cover to get the plugs in. Well, the next time around I ended up buying the Onan plugs and sure enough, they are 5/8 plugs. The 5/8 plugs are a whole lot easier to get in and out. I guess that was Onan's plan. :S

RE: Air horn in a gass rig?

I installed the VIAIR Medium Duty compressor system along with the Hadley Ambassador horns. The horns are ridiculously loud. I also put an air hose connection on the tank so I can use the compressor to top off tires and whatnot.

RE: Marathon Prevost coaches...

No, more like 3500...
Buy any other coach and it will have delivery miles on it too unless you pick it up at the factory. You expect them to flatbed a 30,000lb 45 foot coach that far?No, not at all. I guess I just found it interesting the amount of mileage that is put on the coach before a single bit of construction on it begins.

Marathon Prevost coaches...

While watching a show about these rigs they mentioned the shells are driven 3,500 miles from Quebec to Oregon. I know these things are meant to rack up some mileage during their lifetime but does the odometer of a brand spankin' new Marathon coach already read several thousand when the customer takes delivery of the new coach?

RE: [Duo-Therm thermostat] Is this normal?

I took apart the thermostat and swapped the little metal contacts on the Mode and Fan buttons and sure enough, works like a charm now. Thanks for the help!

RE: Shopping for RV on EBay HOW?

What I do is this...
Go to eBay.com and type in a search like "holiday rambler." Click on the first RV that shows up and go to the top of the auction page and you'll see the category tree that looks like this... Listed in category: eBay Motors > Other Vehicles & Trailers > RVs and Campers > Motorized RVs > Class A RVs. I then click on "Class A RVs" and it will take me to the category of Class A RVs. From there I click on "More choices..." on the left under "Refine your search." It will bring up a box with these choices...
-Fuel Type
-Length
-Make
-Model Year
-Sleeping Capacity
-Price
-Condition
-Mileage
-For Sale By
-Leveling Jacks
-Slide Outs
-Awnings
-Air Conditioners
-Water Capacity (Gallons)
-Seller
From there you can filter whatever manufacturer(s), year(s), number of slides, length, etc. It's a real easy way to narrow down exactly what you want. You can even go as far as saving the specific search in your My eBay so you will be notified when new listings are listed that match your criteria.

RE: Avoid Sears

I had some tires put on at the local Sears about 7 years ago. Was driving out of the parking lot and I hear and feel this horrible clanking sound. Pull into a spot to check things out. Turns out the tech only hand tightened one lug nut on my front left wheel and left the other ones off. When all your job is to put on tires, how do you manage to only tighten 3 wheels? :s

RE: [Duo-Therm thermostat] Is this normal?

I switched over to the 5 botton and new boards for $300. Best money ever spent. Are the boards "plug and play" or are there some modifications that have to be done?

RE: [Duo-Therm thermostat] Is this normal?

Call Dinosaur Electronics 1-541-994-4344, they can rebuild your old one or you can change it to the new 5 button, but you have to change the boards in each A/C unit, cost about $400.00.I looked into the 5-button upgrade but was a little overwhelmed when I read I'd be needing to upgrade boards.

RE: [Duo-Therm thermostat] Is this normal?

So basically the buttons aren't making good contact? That would explain why the Mode button is sometimes hard to push too. Sometimes it won't work, other times it will jump ahead. Very frustrating.
